Job Description

The Mahopac Central School District seeks to fill the following anticipated probationary position for the 2025/2026 School Year: 

Science/Special Education Teacher – Mahopac High School

• The candidate must have 9-12 Science and Special Education certifications.  
• Experience providing specially designed instruction to students with disabilities in the high school setting. Additionally, the candidate should have strong knowledge of the Secondary Science Standards.  
• Key responsibilities will include developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans; utilizing specially designed instruction strategies to enhance learning outcomes for students; collaborating with colleagues within the Special Education and Science departments; creating a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and participation and communicating with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
