Job Description

The Mahopac Central School District seeks to fill the following probationary position for the 2026-2027 school year:

Career and Technical Education Teacher – Mahopac Middle School

New York State Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher Certification
Develop and implement standards-based lesson plans aligned with district curriculum.
Teaching exploratory courses that expose students to multiple career clusters rather than preparing them for a single occupation.
Lesson planning and curriculum development
Differentiated instruction for diverse learners
Teach and model proper use of tools, equipment, and technology
Technology integration in instruction
Incorporating project-based and hands-on learning experiences.
Using career interest inventories and reflection activities.
Helping students understand the connection between middle school coursework, high school CTE programs, college, apprenticeships, military service, and careers.
