Mahopac High School is seeking a dedicated Health Educator who values strong student engagement and meaningful relationships. Candidates must hold dual certification in Health and Physical Education and may be assigned physical education classes as needed.  For the remaining .4 position of the school day, the candidate will serve as a building substitute

School Psychologist - Mahopac High School

• Valid NYS Certification as a School Psychologist.
• Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology.
• Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students; interpret and present results to support educational planning.
• Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings. 
• Provide individual and group counseling per IEP requirements. 
• Serve as 504 chairperson.
• Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide insight into the development of functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans. 
• Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and parents to create supportive learning environments and address students’ diverse needs.
• Provide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students. 
• Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem-solving in the classroom. 
• Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed. 
• Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families. 
• Provide and/or assist in professional development for staff. 
• Participate in professional growth activities on a yearly basis.
